Three men bought a boat - a cheap 6m trailer sailer.
One of those men went to Dubai.
The remaining two men hauled the boat out over winter and are endeavouring to 'do her up'.
This blog should cover our attempts at repairing, refairing, repainting, refurbishing a 1970s GRP trailer sailer, and possibly also the attempts of a NZer to make Dubai his home.
Hey guys, I have one of these, and I was wanting to put it on a swing mooring.. I have heard that these fibreglass boats of this era don't take kindly to being anti fouled. Are you guys able to shed some light on this?
Hi Laurie, I hope we can get in touch, I've bought a Merlin, it's a Keeler version, but the rudder.. I need to do one and hope to find another Merlin to check it's dimensions etc. I'm in Auckland
